The Palm Springs Preservation Foundation presents Mid-Century Masters: The Architecture of William F. Cody, an informative talk that chronicles the modernist architect's significant contribution to the built environment of Palm Springs. This event takes place on October 15th at 11am and is free, but attendees must register in advance. The Palm Springs Preservation Foundation is also popular Lost, Saved and Endangered: Modernist Architecture in Palm Springs Presentation at the Palm Springs Woman's Club at 9:00 am on October 15th.
The best of mod with a twist returns to the autumn preview with an encore of her audience favorites. These fun and insightful 10 minute presentations explore life and culture in mid-century America, often with a humorous and dry alternative analysis of what was going on in the country during that time. Nightly events October 14-16 are $ 55 per person and run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

Beatnik, PS Undergrounds brand new dinner show allows attendees to channel their insides Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac as they snap their fingers to the beat and step into the mysterious but welcoming world of beatniks. This extended culinary adventure includes a multi-course menu with various scents of perfectly roasted spices from around the world. A full bar is included in the entrance fee. This event takes place every night from October 14th to 16th. Tickets are $ 150.
Every day at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., a Mid-Century Mixology Cocktail Clinicology is presented at Mr. Lyons Steakhouse in Palm Springs. Participants will interact with legendary mixologists to learn how to make iconic, classic cocktails of the mid-century era while also making their own to try. (Including three drinks). Tickets are $ 62.
On October 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a temple will be held where retailers and private traders will showcase their finest, hard-to-find products Vintage clothes, textiles, jewelry and accessories in an upscale venue in Temple Isaiah. Tickets are $ 15 for the first Dibs preview and $ 10 for general admission.
The Palm Springs Casual Concours XII Classic Car Show returns this year to the Desert Princess Country Club in Cathedral City from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. October, 16th. About 150 cars will perform at this popular event. The show is being organized by Great Autos of Yesteryear and proceeds from the event will benefit Sanctuary Palm Springs. Entry is $ 20.
Try your luck in the new It's a Mod, Mod, Mod, Mod World – car rally and scavenger hunt on October 17th. Architectural gems and design treasures fuel this epic scavenger hunt where Palm Springs is the game board. Follow a series of clues, follow a course through the heart of the city, collecting playing cards that could potentially bring you a prize. Tickets are $ 100.

On October 15, visitors to the autumn preview are invited to the festive Opening Night Party and the Early Buying Preview reception at Modern show & sale at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The show and sale, which features objects, furniture, art and textiles from the 20th and 21st centuries from more than 40 leading national and international dealers in decorative and visual arts, will continue in October. 16-17. The Friday night party is the best opportunity to buy direct from the vendors before the show opens to the public on Saturday. Tickets are available in advance for $ 75 online or at the box office for $ 85 and include daily re-entry to the show. Weekend show times are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants in the autumn preview can a Tiki Luau at the Tiki Hotel on October 16 in Palm Springs. Join the Hawaiian fun in a festive luau with tropical catering. Tickets are $ 80.
Also on October 16, participants can choose to experience A mod evening in the Miralon 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. This new event, held in the exclusive Miralon residential complex in Palm Springs, features live music by the Martini Kings. Tickets are $ 35.
