Following his family vacation in France, Chris hopped on a train and headed to Germany for two weeks of teaching with Dictum. So expect lots of chair images to come. And perhaps another book? He tends to write more when he’s away from home, and last time he was at Dictum, he contracted the “Make Fresh Milk Paint” book. So who knows what he’ll bring back this time (other than a craving for good Mexican food – that is a constant after his overseas travels).
Back here in the states, Mark and Gabe are all caught up with orders after the warehouse move, and are now busy shipping out Peter Follansbee’s new book, “17th-Century Essex County Cupboard” and the new-in-stock “Stick Chair Journal” No. 4. And due in any day, we’re told, is the new “Smalls” Pocketbook.
I’m assiduously working on Matt Bickford’s new book on making side-escapement moulding planes, with several more books lined up right behind it. And Kale is editing Chris’s new stick chair video. Busy, busy!

p.s. Katherine is still in Europe, with her mom, Lucy. She’ll be diving back into work on Wednesday. The cats at both places will be ecstatic when they’re home.
