I walked in this morning to the shop and almost reached for my (metaphorical) smelling salts; there is no in-progress chair on Chris' bench. I can only assume he'll start another one this week. In truth, though, he's busy at the computer as we wrap up the cover on Ed Zappen's book, "Jefferson's Declaration Desk," and work on the drawings for our smalls book. As well as with everything that goes into running a business, of course. And a nasty cold.
I'm thisclose to sending Peter Follansbee's Essex County Cupboard book back to him for his author read and to our copy editor. Then I'm moving forward a century to the late 18th-/early 19th-century world of Samuel Wing with Elia Bizzarri's forthcoming book.
Katherine is reading from home today in preparation for a review of Annabelle June Buckland's new book "Make Things From Wood," and Kale is helping to pack weekend orders.
And, we'll soon have a new batch of 24" Joiner's Rules in stock – sign up to be notified when they arrive.
