Every time he's here, I'm astounded by how quickly students go from zero experience to creating nice work. Yesterday morning (the class started Sunday), no one had done work in this style. Today, they walked in and their warm-up exercises looked like they'd been at it for at least a few weeks. And if experience holds, they'll leave Wednesday with carved panels I'd be proud to display. Some day, I hope to take the class myself – or at least find time to learn it from "Joiner's Work."
