On my bench this week is a project we've not talked much about: the Jefferson Desk, a forthcoming book by Ed Zappen. I traveled to Wisconsin last December to shoot pictures, but there were a few we weren't able to get. So I brought back pieces to at least partially build one here, and get those final shots. Then a broken ankle and other unfortunate events got in my way, and the project got sidetracked. But I'm back on it, and eager to get this one done. I'll be sharing more about it in the coming weeks.

Now Shipping: 'The Anarchist's Tool Chest: Revised Edition'
Chris spent almost a year revising every sentence and idea from the 2011 edition of "The Anarchist's Tool Chest." The result is a text that is even more pointed than the original: Buy the best tools you can afford. If a tool doesn't fit in the chest, you probably don't need it. And that making things – good, useful and beautiful things – just might be the best thing you can do for the world.
Green Woodworking with Elia Bizzarri & Eric Cannizzaro
We had a couple cancellations for the Oct. 6-10 Green Woodworking class at Lost Art Press with Elia Bizzarri and Eric Cannizzaro – so scurry on over to our class site to sign up (and a reminder that this is likely your last chance for a class at LAP, as we are not offering them here after this year).
