I want to start out by saying that I hope everyone out there has had a safe and happy Holiday Season. Thankfully our holidays went well without incident, and we had a nice time. My wife and I try not to make a big production over Christmas gifts for each other. My request was a black Arkansas sharpening stone, and much to her credit my wife delivered.
The day after Christmas I decided to put the stone to work, so I filmed my first attempt and I am happy to report that I was very pleasantly surprised with the results. I also managed to complete a (sort-of) built in storage project in the garage that was started many years ago, as the never ending battle (with my family) to keep things off of the floor of my garage continues.
Otherwise, I don't have any major furniture projects planned, but I will certainly keep attempting to upgrade the storage capacity at our house, and this might include more built-ins, and likely another bookcase or two. And I will definitely continue to film more woodworking related videos when the mood strikes. Speaking of these videos, I pasted below the video of my first attempt at using the new black Arkansas stone, so if you care to watch it, please do, and if you do watch I hope that you enjoy it.
