We tracked it at just over 3 miles, it is easy with a few steep spots, but nothing wild. We went mid October, right after the first big snowfall & it was super pretty & quiet- we had the trail all to ourselves. We just did it in our hiking boots, our Yaktrax would have been nice too, but we were OK without them. Nice views & we always love a hike that ends at a lake!
