Here are 10 projects they executed in Mumbai that display the innovation and expertise which makes them a renowned name in the field. 

  1. Reserve Bank of India (Old and new building)
Reserve Bank of India (Old and new building)

The old RBI building marks the beginning of large-scale projects for a bank by Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering and Construction. The project was completed in 1939, delivering both quantity and quality to the client. Similarly, the new RBI building completed in 1980, remains a symbol of prestige and a classic landmark in Mumbai. 

  1. Bank of India

The Bank of India Building was Built in 1944, Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering and Construction took up the challenge of creating the first banking gateway for India, personified through its architecture. The specialty of the construction is that it is a mix of modern classicism, the vernacular along with a hint of art deco influences.

  1. Taj Mahal Palace Hotel - Tower Wing
Taj Mahal Palace Hotel - Tower Wing

Creating iconic buildings is a Shapoorji Palloji special, and the Tower Wing of the Taj Mahal Palace is a testament to the statement. SP Engineering and Construction extended the hotel's 20-storeyed wing which has a stunning view of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India.

  1. Oberoi Towers
Oberoi Towers

When constructed, in 1973, Oberoi Towers was the tallest building in India. This project was designed to cater to the natural conditions of the place. This included engineering structural strength and a part podium base to hold all 25 floors in place and resist the harsh sea winds that are prevalent in the area.

  1. Breach Candy Hospital
Breach Candy Hospital

Situated at the coasts of South Bombay, the Breach Candy Hospital was a project undertaken by the Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering and Construction vertical, that was completed in 1940. Currently, they are a leading multispecialty hospital in not just Mumbai but the whole of India.

  1. Brabourne Stadium

Known for being one of the oldest cricket stadiums in India, the Brabourne Stadium is an architectural beaut by Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering and Construction that was completed in 1973. The stadium is clad with a carefully constructed pavilion, swimming pool, and clubhouse and was inaugurated by the Governor of Mumbai at the time, Lord Brabourne.

  1. FIFC 
First International Finance Centre

A 657,000 sq. ft. office complex constructed by Sterling and Wilson, a leading MEP company in India, comes under the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. Situated at the Bandra Kurla Complex, the First International Finance Centre MEP turnkey project was seamlessly executed in 2012.

  1. Peninsula Business Park
Peninsula Business Park

Completed in 2013, the Peninsula Business Park is a project taken up by Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering and Construction. This multi-tenant office complex is known for its cutting-edge facilities and is designed in an area of over 2.3 million sq. ft. in central Mumbai.

  1. Rehab Towers, Sarova Township - 2018
Rehab Towers, Sarova Township - 2018

Built in 2018, Rehab Towers is a Shapooji Pallonji Engineering and Construction project that promises premium homes in the Sarova Township. This complex consists of 4 towers and has 1,227 apartments that are built keeping style, functionality, and modern design in mind.  

  1. Reliance Corporate IT Park - 2014

Spread across 1.1 million sq.ft., the Reliance Corporate IT Park in Ghansoli was completed in 2014. The specialty of the project is that Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering and Construction infused pre-engineered structural steel into the design of this 4 building cluster.
