Lizard Lake is a 4.6 moderate hike up Payson Canyon. This was an interesting trail, there are still a lot of burnt trees from the fire, but with the flowers under it, it was quite striking. The coolest part of this one for us was the huge herd of elk we ran into. They were bugling, pretty cool! The lake at the end was nice, not the biggest, but still fun to have a lake at the end point. We also saw a lot of butterflies along the way.
