Searching for a home is a lot like speed dating but for homes. You only get about 15 to 30 minutes with each home to decide if you are a good fit for each other! This is why it's important to do some research before setting up an appointment with your Real Estate Agent.
- Check out the schools at Greatschools.org
- Drive the neighborhood so you can check out the commute and determine if you can see yourself and your family living there.
- Are the amenities that are important to you close by?
- Talk to neighbors if possible - you will learn a lot about the neighborhood this way
- Ask your agent to send you any available disclosures
- Is there an HOA? Is it in a MUD (multiple utility district)? these are extra expenses you need to explore if so.
If after a little research the home seems like a potential match, Set up an appointment to see it in person with your Agent!
